Primary Research:
In my research proposal, my research results will be split into different groups depending on the type or groups they're in. example Quantitative and Qualitative.
social media (Poll):
Surveys:
This tells me that most people who have met someone who is "different" to everyone is not very noticable. This will help me because this proves my point on how ASD is not noticable at first glance. This also proves that ASD is a mental disablity, without the knowledge of this topic, people can not understand or identify this
Once again I used a website known as Survey Monkey to create my survey to see if anyone in my surrounding has a bit of understanding of the topic. I have shared it on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter ect, to get as much answers as possible. The results are as displayed below.
Question 1
Question 2
This shows that the majority of people who took the test do not know if anyone is living woth ASD by looking at them. Proving that ASD is not noticable.
Question 3
On this part of my survey. It is noticable if someone is autistic by the way they act. This shows that you need to know the person to see what they are actually going through.
Question 4
On this question, it show that not much family members of the poeple who took this survey; may not live with ASD. This is to show that ASD is a rare development, meaning that at first ecounter of someone living with ASD, might be looked down on.
Question 5
On this question, It shows how much people use the word "Autistic" as an insult to people who act "stupid". This proves that people do stereotype people with ASD even without the knowledge of the topic.
At question 5, most people gave stupid answers or do not know what celebrity suffers from ASD. This proves that most of the people i know around me do not know much about the topic.
Overall this survery helps out a lot: Showing ASD is rare, Showing that people stereotype people who have ASD and to show that not much people know about any celebrities who have ASD. This will give me the advantage of adding more facts to the documentary so that people can learn what people with ASD actually go through on their everyday life.
