On this page will show you the skills that I have developed when planning and producing audio. The audio that I'll be producing will be an advertisement that you would hear on the radio. The advertisement is based on promoting my Youtube channel and persuading people to watch the content I produce.

This part of the page will show the planning that is put in for this advertisement. It's been planned on a mind-map. Most of the planning this through scripting, risk assessing and audio testing.

sound effect PLANNING:
Me and my partner Brandon were planning out our advertisements by listing out our sound effects by putting them into a list then adding a description on to them and to add detail and the meaning of that effect.

Me and my partner Brandon planned out our scripts for our projects to know what we are going to say for both of our advertisements.

Risk assessment:
Me and Brandon are planning to do our advertisement inside the recording studio/radio room. We have risk assessed the room to see if there is any potential risk that can harm us through our making of our advertisement.

Evaluation:
In the production of creating my advertisement, my performance on planning, scripting and risk assessing is at a good level of understanding and I know what to do when there is a risk on the scene of the recording. When it comes to acting near the microphone, I was no too close or too far away so that audiences can hear my voice crystal clear. My planning and scripting for the project was well thought out for both me and my partner to the point that we know what we are talking about and made the advert understandable to the audience. The audio quality for the project was good enough for the audience to understand and figure out the basis of the advert.
On my final production of the advertisement was a great success. The quality is good, the sound effects were in the right places to make the advert understandable. On the advertisement I had Jay as a voice for an average everyday teenager. I made the sound effects on the advert sound like it is coming out of a laptop speaker considering that is what the advertisement is trying to represent.
My strengths of my advert is that it contains voices or sound effects of big media stars to get the younger ages attention because the new generation is mostly on social media so spreading the word of the advertisement would be easy and quick. Meaning that the advert would have successfully fulfilled its purpose as a radio advertisement.
The weaknesses of my project is that I did not mention where you could find the topic of what my advertisement is trying to say to the audiences. But I had added popular social media stars so maybe that’s one obstacle passed. Another weakness is that when the teenager speaks near the end, the microphone recorded the wind so I could’ve edited that out.
If I were to redo my commercial to give it a better production that it does not, I would have added background music or sound effects at the end to give the advert more personality and to make it stand out to the rest. Another improvement would be to edit out the wind so a bass boost doesn’t surprise the audience. One more improvement would be to say where you can find what the advertisement is trying to advertise example (Google, YouTube est.)
